For a day with the children that does not involve museums or a long drive: two large parks are close by. In season, both offer free shuttle services from Santa Susanna.
A water park in neighbouring Palafolls, with slides for every level, a wave pool, a large shallow area for younger children, and several animal shows through the day.
It is usually the better choice for families with children from about three years old. In season, a free shuttle bus picks guests up in the morning and brings them back in the evening.
One of the largest water parks in Catalonia, in Lloret de Mar. More than fifteen attractions, including X-Treme Mountain — a water rollercoaster with more than 250 metres of climbs and drops. For younger children, there is Kiddie Island and a gentler shallow-water area.
More adrenaline than Marineland, but without the animal shows. Best for teenagers and children already tall enough for the bigger slides.
